Biography
Hanan Harchol was born in Kibbutz Kinneret, Israel and moved to the US at the age of two. He has been playing the classical guitar for 32 years.
Trained classically at The
Westminster Conservatory, The Peabody Conservatory, and in Europe, Mr. Harchol is the
recipient of numerous national awards, has broadcast solo recitals on New York’s
WQXR, and performed with the Westminster Orchestra under Joseph Flummerfelt.
Mr. Harchol has recorded nine best-selling CDs to date, which are broadcast into homes across the country through the Music Choice network.
Mr. Harchol was the in-house guitarist at The Tavern On The Green for fifteen years and also performed for
several years at The Rainbow Room. Mr Harchol currently performs for private and corporate functions across the tri-state area.
In addition to his music, Mr. Harchol is also a visual artist. He earned a Master of Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is the recipient of a 2011 Covenant Foundation Sinature Grant, The Ronnie Heyman Prize, and a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship.
